What does a nonlawyer document preparer do?
Florida publishes approved forms for people who represent themselves. Inés prepares those documents for you, from the information and instructions you provide, for contested and uncontested matters alike, and files them where that applies. If you need legal advice or legal representation, we recommend that you consult with an attorney.

We talk first
You tell Inés what you need. She explains which documents she will prepare and gives you the flat fee.
Inés prepares the documents
Prepared by her personally from the information you give her, and checked line by line.
You review before signing
Where it applies, your completed documents are emailed to you ahead of the signing appointment so you have time to read them and ask for corrections.
Sign and file
Once everything is right the documents are signed and, where it applies, e-filed through the Florida Courts portal. Fee waiver application if you qualify.
She stays available
Inés is reachable while your matter is pending and can check the case information that is publicly available. The court or agency controls the timing.

What does it cost, and how long does it take?
What should you ask before choosing a document preparer?
Most people call more than one office before they decide, and price is the easiest thing to compare. These four questions are worth asking anyone you consider, and our answers are underneath each one.
Who actually prepares my documents, and can I speak to that person?
Inés does, herself. You speak to her from the first call through the document preparation and filing process.
What happens if the clerk rejects something?
If a filing is rejected because of a document-preparation issue, Inés reviews the notice, makes the appropriate document corrections, and refiles when applicable.
Is the fee flat, and what does it cover?
Flat, and quoted before any work starts. Court filing fees are separate and paid to the clerk.
Can I reach someone while my case is running?
Yes. Monday to Friday 8 AM to 7 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 2 PM, in English or Spanish.

Is Quality Paralegal Services a law firm?
No. Quality Paralegal Services is a nonlawyer document preparation service. We prepare and file Florida Supreme Court approved family law forms for people who represent themselves. We do not give legal advice and we are not a substitute for an attorney.
Can I get divorced in Florida without a lawyer?
Many people represent themselves in Florida divorce proceedings. Florida provides approved forms for self-represented parties, and QPS assists with preparing and filing those documents. If you need legal advice or legal representation, you should consult with an attorney.
What if I cannot afford the court filing fee?
If your income qualifies, we can prepare the application for civil indigent status that asks the clerk to waive or defer the filing fee. Whether it is granted is up to the clerk.
